Sahajanand Corporation has created a benchmark in the supply of fresh produce. Our business has developed over many years through careful and steady growth, constantly adapting to meet the requirements of our diverse range of clients.
We have been able to offer our customers the competitive edge by taking a fresh approach, aiming to never let you down.
We store, pick, pack and deliver an extensive range of products to our customers’ location, in any part of the country. The ultimate aim of the business is to provide a total food supply service that simplifies our customer’s business.
Our Organisation is focused on
• Achieving a strong understanding of national and local requirements
• Keep customer loyalty
• Providing consistently high standards of service and delivery
• Adding value to customers’ businesses
In a world of ‘be all, do all’ generalists, we specialise in bringing together the food service industry and quality fresh produce straight from the growers. We’re also well known for our value-add foods.
We’re ‘the little big guys’ – large enough to reliably supply and distribute across New Zealand, yet small enough to be flexible and nimble in delivering ‘hands on’ service and innovative custom solutions.
We custom innovate.
We’re not here to tell you what you need; we ask what would work better. By listening, innovating and adapting to our customers’ needs, and investing in R&D and technology, we’ve developed cost effective solutions for specific customer challenges that ultimately help grow their businesses. For instance, our convenient, pre-prepared ‘no knife’ solutions for kitchens and cafés reduce prep times and ultimately deliver better economies…not to mention the fresh and delicious meals they help create.
Over years of experience, we’ve grown into the big produce wholesaler specialising in the food service industry throughout New Zealand, partnering with businesses such as:
• Hotel chains
• Grocery store
Our ambition is to not only be the best food service provider in New Zealand, but to go beyond the material aspects of the sector. Not to just do the normal everyday processes but to educate our customers on the various ways our products and services can help make a difference to the success of their business and the satisfaction of their customers at every opportunity.
Like the people we supply, our business is ever changing. But while products and innovation constantly evolve our focus will always remain on sourcing the right products, storing them correctly, picking them accurately and then delivering them to their destination in a controlled environment.
OUR HEALTH AND SAFETY POLICY
Our Organisation and Processing Units are all temperature controlled and the cleanliness of our operations and vehicles are second to none, with each Distribution Centre and Processing Unit also operating a separate HAACP food safety accredited system as well as our nationally managed health and safety system. None of our suppliers are exempt from this either and they all have to buy in to the high standard of our system as a condition of any supply agreement with the understanding that they are then regularly audited to guarantee that their commitment is being met.
It’s not just about the food, a large part of that system is to ensure that all staff are protected from workplace injuries and everyone in our network is constantly re-trained on a strict process of operation to eliminate injuries from the workplace. Keep the people safe, keep the food safe. It’s that simple.
We stock a number of high quality products. Our seasonal options enable variation in texture, flavour and presentation, and our agility allows us to customise your order.
Our environmental policy
At The Produce Company, we believe in protecting the environment. Our sustainability will be an ongoing journey which will improve with time and experience. We have introduced policies and practices in order to protect our environment and support our community.
Reducing the amount of plastic in New Zealand landfills is good for our country and good for our industry.
Our Organisation have implemented a ‘reduce, reuse, recycle’ policy.
